Altair Astro RC8 plus an Imaging Source DBK 21AU618.as camera – not for use together I should add. The camera is for use with my SkyMax 180 and also guiding.
Nice beefy focusser and the 100mm of extension tubes make it very solid. I found that I could use all 3 and still just get my DSLR to focus.
First light on M15 – focus is a bit soft but telescope appears to be in good collimation straight out of the box. The stars at the extreme top and bottom corners on the right only seem a little elongated indicating collimation may not be perfect yet.
This is just one frame with no flats or darks. 360s ISO 1600, 200mm f8, Canon 350D Astronomik CLS
